Guest Blog - Patriots Roster Breakdown

Updated: Jul 17, 2022

Today's Guest Blog comes to us from Matty J. He is a credentialed* Patriots Beat Reporter so he is actually qualified to speak on the topic.

*He once got on the field by claiming to be David Andrews' cousin, and security let him do it simply because he was wearing his jersey. That's credentialed in my book.

Quarterbacks

Pretty standard here. Hoyer will be “Cut” then brought back after the initial roster is set to avoid a younger player being subject to waivers.

  1. Mac Jones - Obvious

  2. Brian Hoyer - The classic cut then brought back after a player is placed on IR

  3. Bailey Zappe- Will be interesting to see

  4. Will probably add another arm for camp

Running Backs

The running back battle will be interesting to watch during camp. The two major factors will come down to the health of James White and the preseason of Kevin Harris. If these two look like they can contribute I'd keep an eye on Damion Harris being on the trading block.

  1. Damien Harris

  2. Rhamondre Stevenson

  3. Pierre Strong

  4. James White

  5. Kevin Harris

  6. JJ Taylor

Wide Receivers

No Real stars here but solid depth. KB should get some solid match ups with parker and Agholor on the outsides.

  1. Kendrick Bourne

  2. Jakobi Meyers

  3. DeVante Parker

  4. Nelson Agholor

  5. Tyquan Thornton - This skinny fuck better do something or BB shouldnt be allowed to draft a WR again.

  6. Ty Montgomery - Needs to have big camp but think his versatility puts him on the squad.

  7. Tre Nixon - I like him, will be one to watch during the preseason but ultimately ends up on the practice squad

  8. Kristian Wilkerson

  9. Malcolm Perry

  10. Lil'Jordan Humphrey

Editor's note* his fucking name is Lil'Jordan Humphrey??? Pro Bowler. Guaranteed.

  1. Ja'Whaun Bentley

  1. Devin Mccourtey

  2. Kyle Dugger

  3. Adrian Philips

  4. Jabrill Peppers
